Tittesworth Water Sports is a family run business, with over 19 years of water sports experience, holding some of the highest British Canoe Union (BCU) qualifications. Located between Stoke-on-Trent and Buxton, just a few minutes drive from the moorland town of Leek, it sits on the south west corner of the Peak District National Park and is overlooked by the stunning scenery of The Roaches and Hen Cloud.

Peak Pursuits

Our aim for the centre is to enable families and individuals to access a range of outdoor pursuits activities in a beautiful setting delivered to a high standard.

Rudyard Lake Activity Centre

The new Activity Centre provides toilets on the first floor, a lift, a galley
kitchen and meeting room capable of seating 100 people. This can be divided by
soundproof partitions to form two separate rooms. Balconies are provided with
excellent views over the lake. Full catering services are available for
bookings.

Boat Launching: Many people bring their boats for a day’s sailing on
Rudyard Lake, launching from the slipway at the damhead. Currently the fee is £10
per day; £12 per day for boats over 3 metres in length.

Canoeing: Day tickets are available at £7 a canoe. There are also group discounts.

Boat hire: Rowing boats (ex Regents Park Lake in London) can be hired mainly during the summer months at a cost of £10 for 1/2 hr.  (They carry up to four people and buoyancy aids are available).

Trip boat: The trip boat ‘Honey’ is available from Easter to the end of
October, mainly at weekends, although private bookings are available at other
times. The boat is owned and operated by trained volunteers of the League of
Friends. It can carry up to 12 passengers. Cruises are usually combined with an
informative narration about the lake’s history and wildlife.

The cost is £4 for adults and £2 for children
